At this time of year we stop to reflect and give thanks for the many blessings that we have in our lives. One of the things that I am thankful for are the many friends that I have made through our shared love of needlework. When the pandemic hit back in 2020, we had to find new ways to connect. Those of us who meet locally as smaller stitch groups went from gathering at someone’s house, book shop, neighborhood coffee shop or even our local needlework shop, found a way to keep our bond with needle and thread alive through virtual meetings. The Tudor Rose Sampler Guild started meeting remotely also in April 2020. At the time we thought that the guild might loose membership due to not being able to meet physically, but little did we know that our membership would grow with people from all over the world. Our shared love of samplers has made the world a much smaller place.
During this time of thanksgiving, we hope each and everyone of our stitching friends find time to pick up a needle, linen and thread, and reflect on the many blessings, friendships, and joy that this hobby has bestowed upon us.
Our members needles were busy last month with lots of beautiful stitching and finishing.
