Falling Towards the Holidays

Elections were held at our November meeting and the 2012 slate of officers is as follows:
President – Jennifer M.
Secretary – Jean N.
Treasurer/Membership – Lori J.
Program Vice President – Kim L.
Workshop Chair – Mary D.
Program Assistant Chair and Workshop Assistant Chair are still open. . .

Regarding the sampler restoration project the guild would like to fund, Jennifer M. reported that the director of the Ackworth School has told her they have a sampler from 1811 that needs to be restored and he will send a picture.

If anyone is interested in purchasing an additional pumpkin pincushion kit from the October program, Stephanie H. has extras; please contact her.

Beginning in January 2012, Mary D. will take sign ups for the Nancy Renssela Mystery Sampler by Linda Lautenschlager of “Chessie and Me”; cost will be under $125. She also sent an email to Brenda Gervaise of “With thy Needle and Thread” to inquire about her availability to come and teach a workshop.

Jennifer M. displayed small frames that hold needlework and can also be worn as jewelry, from a company called “Stampin’ Up”. Contact Katherine P. if you are interested in purchasing this product.

The November program was the 2011 TRSG Christmas Ornament and was taught by Denise D. who designed the ornament for the guild.
