No, but it’s darn close. It hardly seems possible that we could already be stitching the annual Christmas ornament, but that was the program for November. The ornament was Dalahorse designed by Sandra M., taught by Denise D.
The ornament was really cute and colorful and there was a lot of participation for the program.
As president, Jennifer M. reported to all that we have begun the search for a new meeting location, as our present location will no longer be available to us in the new year. Surely, something central will become available so that all our members will continue to find it easy to attend guild. The new slate of officers was elected unanimously. YEAH!!
Hopefully everyone has signed up to bring a favorite dish to the Christmas Party/Ornament Exchange, which will be held at the home of member Cyndi S. at the December meeting time.
Ann W. reminded members of the upcoming Sherri Jones workshop in February – A Garden Variety Long Pocket – and passed out kits to those already registered.
It’s not too late to sign up for the workshop; DNTG will also be sponsoring classes by Sherri of Patrick’s Woods.
Ann W. has contacted Paulette Stewart of Plum Street Samplers, about possible classes in the Fall of 2013, and asked that members contact her (Ann) with suggestions for possible workshops.
There was a lot of participation this month for Show & Tell:
