So late, so soon. . .

My apologies for not posting before June was over, but it just went by too darn fast…

Paulette Stewart, of Plum Street Samplers, held a trunk show during her workshop with TRSG in May and graciously forwarded 10% of her sales to the guild. Sherry S. made a motion to donate 3/4 of the monies received to Grace Presbytery, which was approved with no opposition.

Ann W. reminded everyone of the 2-day Catherine Theron workshop scheduled Nov. 2-3, 2013. Catherine will teach the Alphabet Primer Pocket and Wee Bunny Scissor Box; Ann will ask for additional help closer to the actual date of the workshop. (Detailed information is found in the previous post.) Suggestions are being taken for workshops in 2014 and Ann reported that she is continuing to try to finalize an opportunity for Ellen Chester, of With My Needle, to present a workshop in 2015.

Earlier in the Spring, Marie Z. presented a stitcher’s challenge by making the Workbasket’s Pink Flower and Blue Flower freebies available to the membership and encouraging everyone to finish at least one of the designs in any way he or she chose and present the final piece for judging. A number of members participated and brought in stitched pieces for submission. The membership voted on their favorite finish and the top three winners:

Barbie D., Debbie G., and Nancy K. received gift cards to the Container Store. Nice job everyone!!

How did it get so late so soon?
It’s night before it’s afternoon.
December is here before it’s June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
