Legend of the Tudor Rose
In April, we will welcome Christy Baty and Erin Moody of Relics in Situ for a presentation on The Legend of the Tudor Rose.
This lecture will explore the sometimes violent history that was the origin of this flower, and the importance of this image in English iconography and embroidery.
Members will receive information about ordering a kit during the presentation. The kit is a recreation of a Tudor Rose applique canvas-work artifact from the 17th century.
At the monthly meeting we will have a brief business meeting with updates on programs, workshops, etc. After the business meeting we will have show & tell where members can share their finished projects with the group.
Our meeting will be virtual and the link will be sent out on Sunday before the meeting.
