Holiday Hoopla

TRSG members exchange Christmas ornaments during the December meeting and usually a game is played to pass around the wrapped ornaments to determine who will receive the gifts.  Because of Covid, this year’s exchange took place by mail.  Members who wanted to participate submitted their names to the Program Chair. Names were drawn to match up members and ornaments were mailed out early enough so that everyone opened their gift during the Zoom meeting.

Here are pictures of some of the ornaments created by TRSG members this year:

Debra B: Glitter House #3 of the Glitter Village by Country Cottage Needleworks
Sherry S: Primitive Christmas pillow by Abby Rose Designs
Lori J: Dapper Santa by Homespun Elegance
Lynette C: Tis the Season by Sandra Moffitt for Hands Across the Seas Samplers
Sue D: Hardanger Ornament by Nordic Needle
Jeanie B: 1999 Ornament chart from DMC
Lori H: Winter’s Night by the Wooly Ewe
Denise D: Star Light Star Bright by Sullivan Threads
Karen H: motifs from Summer Quakers by Rosewood Manor
MaryEllen B: Cozy Christmas Cat by The Blue Flower
Sherri H: Cranberry Christmas by Hands On Designs
Debbie G: Christmas Birdhouse by Lois Winston for the 2017 Just Cross Stitch magazine
Maria K: small knitted Christmas sweater, adapted from a Ravelry pattern
Cyndi S: Merry Christmas
Laurie B: Pincushion with Sampler, Miss Margaret Ann Rollo 1869 by Just Stitching Along
Kim L: Peppermint Pals by With Thy Needle and Thread
Codi M: Evergreen by Blackbird Designs
Doris M: Yuletide Hornbook by Milady’s Needle
Shelly M: Primitive Christmas by Nicky’s Creations
Grace M: Joy from “Christmas Gifts of Good Taste” by Leisure Arts, 1991

The ornament exchange is always such fun, and the best part is seeing the variety of beautiful ornaments. While we couldn’t be together in person this year, we were still able to see each other virtually, exchange our ornaments, and have some fun.
