This past weekend, Paulette Stewart of Plum Street Samplers came to teach a workshop to the guild. This is the second time we have hosted Paulette and she again designed a piece specifically for the guild. We had the workshop at the Dallas Zoo and Paulette designed a zoo-themed piece for us. This is Adam Names the Animals.
As usual, Paulette not only designed an amazingly beautiful piece for us, but it was packaged with her loving attention to detail. This is the outside of the kit.
And here is what came packaged in our kit – some overdyed threads, some DMC, linen from Hand-Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie, and the sweetest thread ring. Our Workshop Chair, Vicki, provided each attendee with the fun animal-print mint tins. Here is a closeup of the thread ring.
Love the giraffe!
And some closeups of the piece itself.
Paulette also brought a few pieces that she was getting ready to release so that we were able to purchase them first!
Paulette herself is a joy and we had such a fun day with her! After the workshop attendees had the opportunity to stitch in the room or to venture out into the zoo to see the animals. Many thanks to the Dallas Zoo for hosting us!
Looking forward to seeing our members stitch this piece!
