But it all depends in what part of the country and world you are located!
Here in central North Texas it cannot make up it’s mind if it is still winter or spring. But that is typical for our part of the country.
Anyway — Welcome to the March 2022 blog post of the Tudor Rose Sampler Guild.
At the March 2022 guild meeting we had a lecture on “Styles of Quaker Samplers in Pennsylvania. Maryland, and Delaware’ presented by Cynthia Shank Steinhoff. Cynthia discussed the various styles from the region and showed several examples of each style. She is also the co-author of Delaware Discoveries; Girlhood Embroidery 1750 to 1850. A fantastic book to add to your collection!
In celebration of the start of spring this month, several members got an early start and presented their ‘Spring’ stitching finishes.
The next meeting of the Tudor Rose Sampler Guild will be held on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 at 7:00pm Central Time.
As always, thank you for stopping by our little part of the internet and we look forward to seeing you again next month.
Beautiful works of art!
